One grandpa and Six grandmas, all alive and in reasonally good health.
The parents being supporters of the Buddha sasana or dispensation, Apo
Khin and Apwa Shwe from Taunggyi, Southern Shan State. The eldest sister
being (93) years and the youngest (75). It is a wonder all the seven are
still living, when the life span at the present age is (75) years. The
middle five are (87) (85) (82) (79) and (77) years respectively.
They must certainly have good Kamma and good morality
to have long, reasonally healthy lives. They have been practising
vipassana meditation at different meditation centres, especially Mahasi
and sometimes at Mogok.
During the closed season i.e, in December and January
the six sisters would meet at Inndaing Kheippa Byinna Sadhamma Ramsi
Mahasi Yeiktha (meditation centre) Hlegu Township and practice
meditation together, having their meals together at the same round
table. Their names are:
Daw Khin Khin, Daw Khin Kyi, Daw Khin Mya Mya, U Khin Mg Thein,
Daw Khin Hla Hla, Daw Khin Taung Yee and Daw Khin Htwe Kyi. |
